Questions
Is this a diagnosis?
No. Pharmacogenomics describes how your genes relate to certain medications. It is decision support for you and your prescriber — never start, stop or change a medication based on a report alone.
Do I need a doctor to order?
No. You can order directly. You must be 18 or over, and testing is not available to residents of New York, New Jersey or Rhode Island.
Who can see my results?
Only you, unless you choose otherwise. Sharing with a practitioner is optional, requires your explicit consent, and can be withdrawn at any time from your portal or by emailing info@checkgenetics.com.
What happens after the first year?
Your first year of portal access is included in the price. Renewal is $30/year and you can cancel at any time; cancelling keeps your existing reports downloadable.
